Blank Screen When Attempting to Print Tax Return in TurboTax Online

We are aware of an issue with TurboTax Online where some of our customers are experiencing a problem when printing their tax returns. We have been unable to verify this printing issue in our quality assurance lab.

Important: Make sure that you've turned off any pop-up blockers in your browser.

 

Using the Adobe Reader software should work normally with TurboTax Online when printing your tax returns.

Install Foxit Reader

If you continue to see a blank screen when printing your tax returns, try the following: 

  1. Sign off TurboTax Online.
  2. Go to http://www.download.com/Foxit-PDF-Reader/3000-2079_4-10313206.html to install Foxit (Foxit Reader is an online viewing application similar to Adobe Reader).
  3. Following the instructions to install the Foxit software on your computer.
  4. Sign on to TurboTax Online.

You should now be able to review the tax return using the Foxit Reader software.

If the above steps do not work, here are some other troubleshooting options you can try:

Sign out then sign on to TurboTax Online

To get Adobe or Foxit to display your tax return: 

  1. Sign out of TurboTax Online.
  2. On your computer's desktop (Windows), select Start, select Programs, then select the Adobe or Foxit software from the list of programs.
    • Make sure to run any software updates if you are prompted.
    • Leave the Adobe or Foxit program running on your computer.
  3. Sign on to TurboTax Online.
  4. Try to view your tax return. 

Use the Back button to clear an error in a browser

In your browser, select the Back button to back out of the screen being displayed, wait a moment, then select the Forward button to go back to the screen.

When you are viewing your tax return, in some circumstances, the browser can get hung up while it processes a request for the TurboTax Online server.
