Solve Common Printing Issues in TurboTax for Mac

You can correct most Mac printing problems by installing the latest printer driver for your printer. Refer to your printer manual or visit your printer manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest printer driver.

If you have a computer with Mac OS 8.X or 9.X and are unable to download the latest printer driver, try changing the status of your background printing. Background printing allows you to use your computer for other tasks while documents are printing.

Change the status of background printing
  1. From the Apple menu, select Chooser.
  2. On the left side of the Chooser, select the type of printer you want to use.
  3. On the right side of the Chooser, turn background printing on or off.

    Note: If you don't see a background printing option, you may not be able to use background printing with the selected printer. Also, with some laser printers, the background printing option appears in the Printing window (from the TurboTax File menu, select Print).

  4. Close the Chooser, and then print your return.
