To remove a form, schedule, or worksheet from your return, select your TurboTax product, and then follow the steps.
Important: Because tax calculations are complex and interrelated, removing a form may not completely delete the form from your return. Removing a form is not recommended unless you are sure of your tax situation and the forms you need.
TurboTax Online
Follow these steps:
- In TurboTax, select the Home tab, then Program Options.
- At the bottom of the window, select Delete a Form.
- Select the form to delete, and then click the Delete link.
- Click Delete Selected Form to confirm.
Note: You cannot recover information from a deleted form. If you later decide you need a form that's been deleted, you need to add the form to your tax return and then fill it out.TurboTax for Windows
Follow these steps:
- In TurboTax, select the Forms Mode button at the top right of the window.
- On the left side of the window, select the form to remove, and then click the Delete Form button at the bottom of the window.
- Click Yes to confirm removal. If other forms supply info to the form being deleted, TurboTax lists these other forms, which will also be deleted. Select Delete Listed Forms to remove the forms.
Note: You cannot recover information from a deleted form. If you later decide you need a form that's been deleted, click Add Form on the left side of the window (Forms Mode view), and then select the form.Note: If you delete a form that TurboTax automatically fills out based on information you've entered elsewhere, the form reappears in the My Forms list. - In TurboTax, at the top left of the window, click Forms.
- The forms in your tax return are listed in the Tax Returns column on the left side of the window. Select the form to delete.
- On the menu bar, select Forms, then Remove Form.
- Click Remove to confirm. If other forms supply info to the form being deleted, TurboTax lists these other forms, which will also be deleted. Select Delete Listed Forms to remove the forms.
