Note: To update TurboTax, it must be installed on your computer's hard drive. Do not run TurboTax from the product CD.
Tip: To work around any error messages, you can temporarily turn off automatically checking for updates and manually verify your TurboTax is up to date (for steps, see Update Preferences and Verify TurboTax Is Up to Date). When prompted in TurboTax, you can sign up to be notified when your forms are available, and upon notification, either download the updates or order the free update CD.
